According to various reports, a total of 1,355 players have registered for the upcoming IPL 2026 auction. With a maximum squad size of 25 players in a team, there are still 77 slots are to be filled by the 10 franchises including 31 overseas slots.
Notably, the biggest names who have been talked about for the auction, have all registered for the auction.

Out of the 1,355 list of players registered for IPL Auction 2026, the IPL Governing Council will later prune that to smaller number of players list, for the one day long Mini Auction, after listening to all 10 franchises wishlist. All the 10 teams have been told to submit their wishlist by December 5, after which the final list of players registered for IPL Auction 2026 will be released by the IPL itself.

According to IPL’s rules and regulations, a player can set a maximum base price of INR 2 Crore and the minimum of INR 20 Lakh.
