It’s the go-home show before WWE NXT Deadline, and Izzi Dame from The Culling is going to talk about why the group turned on Tatum Paxley. Plus, DarkState (that’s WWE NXT Tag Team Champs Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin, along with Cutler James and Saquon Shugars) will be in an 8-Man Tag Team Match against “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans, TNA X-Division Champion “The Youngest In Charge” Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, and Myles Borne.

WWE NXT Results

Arianna Grace vs. Thea Hail

Backstage‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ segment involving Stacks, Arianna Grace, Joe Hendry and Thea Hail led to a match between Grace and Hail. A few minutes into the match Stacks was able to help his new girlfriend get the advantage with a distraction.

Arianna had the bigger side of things, but Thea is just as strong, more skilled and faster, so it wasn’t one of those David vs. Goliath matches that sometimes happen with a height difference. Hendry slammed Stacks on the apron when Stacks was trying to interfere and that was the moment when Hail seized the opportunity to quickly get the Kimura locked in.

There wasn’t much here, but the way it unfolded was logical for the story they are telling. It might not be the best match of the night, but this is one of those times when short and sweet was the right way to go.

Tavion Heights vs. Josh Briggs

Josh Briggs walked out victorious after his hard bout with Tavion Heights. Heights even slammed Briggs through the barricade on the outside as the two Superstars engaged in combat both inside and outside the ring.

After being hit by a Running Belly-to-Belly Suplex, Briggs recovered and even managed to place his foot on the bottom rope. He then delivered a devastating Running Lariat to end the fight.

Fatal Influence vs. Sol Ruca, Kendal Grey and Lola Vice

A six-woman tag match followed, featuring Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid vs. Sol Ruca, Kendal Grey and Lola Vice. The babyface came out strong, working well together and using some quick, exciting moves to take charge. It was a fun match to watch, but it felt like they were in a hurry. They didn’t really get to react to the big moments.

Ruca got the win for her team by hitting Jayne with the Sol Snatcher. After the match, Zaria tried to Spear Ruca, but she missed and hit Grey instead. This made Zaria and Grey argued.

OTM vs. Chase U

Bronco Nima and Lucien Price secured a tag team win over Chase U. OTM appeared to be playing with their opponents, even picking them up during pinfall attempts.

Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon tried to make a comeback, but it ended up short as OTM smashed them in the end.

DarkState vs. Joe Hendry, Leo Slater, Je’Von Evans and Myles Borne

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ biggest attraction this week was probably the eight-man tag team match featuring DarkState. However, Ava threw in some additional stakes for the match. The character who made the winning move for the babyface team would have the privilege to choose their spot in the Iron Survivor match. In case of any member of DarkState getting a win, Lennox would be the one to pick.

Indeed, the match was full of consequential moves and heavy hitting. All the eight guys are young and ambitious, so none of them wanted to be overshadowed.

It would be quite a challenge to single out any one performer, but Evans would probably be the majority choice. Not only did he have some fantastic offensive plays, but he also did a great job of selling for DarkState.

In the end, Borne was able to take the pin away from his team to get the victory and the right to select his spot in the Iron Survivor match.
