The top-seeded teams and the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw pots have been revealed after the completion of the World Cup qualifiers across four continents. The FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw is scheduled to take place on December 5 in Washington DC.
The Football World Cup 2026 qualifiers were finally wrapped-up during the November international break. We now have 42 out of 48 teams confirmed in the summer 2026 World Cup to be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Finally FIFA have announced the seeds and draw pots for the December 5 draw. The FIFA Rankings at the start of November has been used to arrange the team accordingly in the pots.
There will be a total of four pots of 12 teams each. Each pot has been set according to the FIFA Rankings starting from pot 1, except for the three co-hosts United States, Canada and Mexico, who have also been placed in Pot 1.
They will be joined by the likes of defending champions Argentina, Spain, France, England, Brazil, the nine best ranked teams in the ranking, in the pot 1.
Meanwhile, pot 2 will include the following best ranked 12 teams and so on for pot 3 and 4. Pot 4 will also include 6 teams who will play in the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers playoffs in March, 2026.
It must also be noted that the three co-hosts Mexico, Canada and the United States have already been assigned Group A, Group B and Group D respectively. Find out below the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw Pots and Teams.
