Information you give us

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, enquiry topic and message. You may also provide an article link. We use these details to read, respond to and manage your enquiry, including correction and privacy requests.

The form sends your message to our email inbox. Contact Form 7 does not itself keep a separate submission database in this setup. Copies of correspondence may remain with our email and hosting providers. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal documents.

If you have a WordPress account, the site stores account details such as your username, email address and profile information. Where comments are enabled, users must be logged in. Submitted comments and associated technical information may be retained for moderation and site security.

Technical information and site measurement

Our hosting services can process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and access times to deliver the website and help maintain its security.

The website uses Google Site Kit and a Google tag for measurement. Depending on the measurement settings and your browser choices, Google tools may process information about visits, devices and interactions. Google explains its handling of this information in its Privacy Policy.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress uses cookies for functions such as authentication and keeping logged-in sessions working. The theme also stores display preferences, including light or dark mode and article layout, in your browser’s local storage.

Measurement tools and embedded third-party content may use their own cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Blocking some storage can affect login or saved display preferences.

Who may process information

Information may be handled by our hosting, email and measurement providers as needed to operate the website and respond to readers. These providers may process information in countries other than your own. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information.

We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to investigate misuse and protect the website or others.

Links and embedded content

Links to social platforms and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Embedded videos or social posts may connect to the relevant provider when loaded or used. Check that provider’s privacy information before interacting with it.

Retention and your choices

We retain information as needed to manage enquiries, maintain accounts, handle disputes and meet applicable obligations. We do not currently apply one automatic deletion period to every type of enquiry email or backup.

To request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have provided, contact us using the email above. We may need to verify that the request relates to you. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons, and backup copies may remain until replaced under the provider’s backup cycle.

Children and security

Our contact form is intended for general enquiries, not for collecting information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or email service can guarantee complete security.

Changes and contact

We update this page when relevant practices change and show the revision date above. For questions, use our Contact Us page or email us directly.
