The Gujarat Titans (GT) bounced back into the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs again in the IPL 2025 season. However, the 2022 champions eventually lost to Mumbai Indians in the eliminator. But they will be back at it again in 2026 and before the IPL 2026 Auction, in this article we take a look at GT Target Players List 2026 IPL season.
It was a great league phase campaign for the Shubman Gill led side. They were dominant throughout the campaign and finished 3rd in the IPL 2025 points table.
The Titans were in the right for a top 2 finish for the majority of the tournament until some late slip-ups. And eventually that led to the downfall of their season as they lost to 4th placed Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator.
But the Gujarat Titans have a champions mentality having won the title in their first season in the tournament in 2022. They are eager to get right back into the thick of things next season. Strength
- Gujarat Titans have a very good batting line-up that includes players like Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Jos Buttler etc.
- Titans also have a very good all-rounders department with the likes of Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, Manav Suthar, Arshad Khan and Rashid Khan.
- The Gujarat Titans also look assured in their bowling side of things. Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna and Ishant Sharma are great pacers while Sai Kishore, Rashid and Washington are top spin bowling options.
Areas to Improve
- The Gujarat Titans have their batting line-up set already for next season. However, they would look to add some extra options, particularly one more overseas batters.
- The Titans also have packed all-rounders in their squad but the side definitely lacks a finisher down the order.
- Kagiso Rabada is the only overseas pace bowler in the Gujarat Titans line-up. So the Titans would surely look to add some overseas pace bowlers in their line-up.

Gujarat Titans Overseas Target Players
Mark Chapman
New Zealand’s batter Mark Chapman would be a good addition to the middle-order for Gujarat Titans. Chapman is a prolific batter who has done really well for the New Zealand team. He has delivered exceptional performance at international level and is a very good batter against pace and spin.
Shai Hope
West Indies’ wicketkeeper batter Shai Hope is a very good batsman in the top-order as well as middle-order and would be a perfect suit as a backup for Jos Buttler to add to GT Target Players List 2026 IPL season. Hope wasn’t really considered good enough for the shorter format, but he has worked a lot in their game and is today one of West Indies’ best T20 batters.
Jason Holder
Another Caribbean cricketer whom the Gujarat Titans can target for the upcoming IPL 2026 season is experienced all-rounder Jason Holder. The veteran all-rounder has loads of experience and even though he is 34, he seems to be getting better as gets older. He is a good hitter of the ball and is also a very good pace bowler. Because of his height, he generates extra pace and bounce from the surface that troubles the opposition batters.
Glenn Maxwell
The ‘Big Show’ might not be having a great time right now, but he is still a big game player. Because of his injury, Punjab Kings released the Aussie all-rounder and his stocks are currently down. But this is a great opportunity for Gujarat Titans to snap him up for a very low price. He is a serial hitter of the ball and can be GT’s finisher next season. He can also bowl some handy off-spin overs.
Daryl Mitchell
Another finisher the Gujarat Titans take a punt at is New Zealand’s finisher Darly Mitchell. The Kiwi hard-hitting batsman has exceptional power hitting ability and bat at strike rate close to 170. He is also a very good medium pace bowler.
Xavier Bartlett
The Gujarat Titans is also in the lookout for a pace bowler alongside Kagiso Rabada. The Australian pacer is being looked at as a long-term Australian pace bowling option. He is a very good bowler with the new ball and at the death overs too. He was part of the Punjab Kings last season but didn’t get much chances. He could be available for decent price in the IPL 2026 auction.
Taskin Ahmed
With not much purse left, Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed would be a good pick as a backup for Gujarat Titans. Taskin is a very good bowler who has great control of his line and length. He has also been a consistent wicket-taker at International stage and the various T20 leagues he features in.

Abhinav Manohar
With the Gujarat Titans having let go off Mahipal Lomror, Gujarat Titans could target Abhinav Manohar as a finisher down the order. Manohar is a big hitter who has seriously lacked game-time at his previous franchises. He is also a capable medium-pace bowler.
Aryan Juyal
Uttar Pradesh’s young wicketkeeper batter Aryan Juyal would be a solid pick for the Gujarat Titans to strengthen their middle-order batting option. Juyal is a very talented batter who is very capable against pace and spin bowling. He would lot of middle-order solidity to Titans’ batting line-up.
Rahul Tripathi
Another batting option that the Gujarat Titans could try out is Rahul Tripathi. Tripathi is a solid middle-order batter who was marred with trouble during his stint with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which is why he has been released by the yellow army. Rahul would be an exciting additon to the Titans’ squad who able to build the inning but play the aggressor role.
