Liverpool 0-3 Nottingham Forest

The highlight of the day’s action was at the Anfield. Arne Slot’s had a terrific start to their campaign with 5 back-to-back wins but the wheels have fallen off since.

Liverpool were hosting Nottingham Forest and came into this match on the back of 5 defeats and one win in their last 6 matches in the PL. Slot’s men had hoped for much improved performance, but the Kopp was left disappointed as Nottingham Forest dominated Liverpool.

Although Liverpool kept about 75% ball possession and kept attacking, Nottingham Forest withstand all the pressure and were clinical on the counter-attack.

Forest defender Murillo opened the scoring with a left-footed shot beating Alisson. Nottingham then doubled the lead just one minute into the 2nd half as Nicolo Savona made a late run into this box and met Neco Williams’ cross to make it 2-0 in favour of the visitors.

The hosts Liverpool FC continued to throw attack after attack towards the Forest goal, however, Morgan Gibbs-White eventually sealed the deal at 78th minute as he scored the third goal for Nottingham Forest to eventually complete a 3-0 win at the Anfield.

This result has added further misery and pressure on manager Arne Slot to turn-around the season as Liverpool sits in the second half of the league table at 12th place after this match.

Burnley 0-2 Chelsea

The Premier League round 12 action this weekend began at the Turf Moor as Burnley hosted Chelsea. The visitors were in total control of the match scoring 2 goals from 15 shots.

Right winger Pedro Neto opened the scoring for the Blues at the 37th minute who headed home a delightful cross from Jamie Gittens. While Burley fought hard, but eventually a counter-attack at the 88th minute sealed the game for Chelsea.

It was a break down the right-hand side for the Blue as Marc Guiu ran half the pitch and a cut-back inside the box to Enzo Fernandez as the Argentine midfielder beat Burnley’s goalkeeper Dubravka to make 2-0 for the visitors who bagged all three points.

Fulham 1-0 Sunderland

Fulham’s Mexican striker Rahul Jiménez turned hero at the Craven-Cottage as Fulham registered a 1-0 win against Sunderland.

Sunderland have been the dark horse of the Premier League 2025-2026 season sitting well into European qualification places.

But at the Craven-Cottage, Fulham managed to get better of the Black Cats. Raul Jiménez scored at the 84th minute for Fulham to get all three points in the bag.

Wolves 0-2 Crystal Palace

Wolves continues to sit at the bottom of the Premier League 2025-2026 league table as they suffered another defeat at the Molineux Stadium to Crystal Palace.

Palace registered a 0-2 victory over the hosts. Wolves’ new manager Rob Edwards didn’t get the kind of result he would have expected from his first match in-charge of the club.

Two goals within six-minute in the 2nd half was enough for Oliver Glasner’s side. Daniel Muñoz opened the scoring at the 63rd minute while Yeremy Pino bagged all three points at the 69th minute to make it 0-2 in favour of the visitors.

Brighton 2-1 Brentford

The hosts Brighton came from behind to pickup a 2-1 win the American Express Stadium against Brentford.

Brentford got the lead in the match at the 29th minute as Igor Thiago converted from the penalty spot for the visitors. But, the hosts were not ready to give-up easily as they changed the course of the game within 15 minutes late in the 2nd half.

Danny Welbeck got the side back into the game at the 71st minute of the match as he notched home a cross by Yankuba Minteh. The about 10-12 minute later, Jack Henshelwood scored a screamer from just outside the box to make 2-1 in favour of Brighton which was enough to get all three points.

Bournemouth 2-2 West Ham

Meanwhile at the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth and West Ham played a 2-2 draw. It was West Ham who got an early 2 goals advantage in the first half itself as Callum Wilson scored at the 11th and 35th minute of the game.

But, Bournemouth displayed that they can bounce back, even without their main man Antoine Semenyo who was missing from the matchday squad due to a slight niggle.

First, Marcos Tavernier got one back at the 69th minute from the penalty spot while Enes Ünal scored at the 81st minute to equalize. However, none of the team could find the match afterwards as it ended 2-2.

Newcastle United 2-1 Manchester City

The closeout to the day’s action, Newcastle United stunned Manchester City at the St. James’ Park as Newcastle won 2-1.

It was a cagey affair between the two teams for the entirety of the game, however, the magical 10 minutes deep into the 2nd half changed the course of the game.

Harvey Barnes gave Newcastle the lead at the 64th minute of the match as he scored from outside the box. 4 minutes later, Manchester City equalized at the 68th minute as Ruben Diaz scored from a corner kick.

But, Harvey Barnes managed to put himself on the scoresheet again just two minutes afterwards as he scored from close range at the 70th minute.

Eventually this was enough to send the Newcastle fans in-attendance at the St. James’ Park happy home as Newcastle won 2-1.
