Naveen ul Haq
With Trent Boult the only top quality overseas pacer and only 2 crore left in the purse, Mumbai will have to look for an overseas pacer at a base price around 1 Crore. In that case Afghanistan’s Naveen ul Haq would be a good pick as a backup. He is a very good bowler who can bowl at the start of the game as well in the death overs.
Scott Currie
Among overseas pace bowlers whom MI might look to include in their MI Target Players List 2026 IPL season is Scott Currie. Currie is a very clever medium pace who uses his variations, line and length and change of pace to trouble the opposition batters. Currie has been doing well in the T20 Blast for the last few seasons. He could be available for base around 1 Crore mark.

Ishan Mulchandani
Ishan Mulchandani was the emerging player of the tournament in the Mumbai T20 2025. The 25-year-old right-hand batsman was mostly used as an opening batter by the SoBo Mumbai Falcons but he is also a very good middle-order batter. He scored 211 runs in 7 matches in the Mumbai T20 2025 at a strike rate of 156.35 and average of 52.75.
Chethan LR
Karnataka’s 25-years-old batter Chethan LR could be another good buy in the IPL 2026 auction. Chethan has been consistently doing well in the Maharaja T20 League. In the 2025 season itself, he scored 299 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 154.12. He can open as well as play in the middle-order.
