Shocking! BAN vs IRE Test Stopped for a while after earthquake tremors

Today, during the Test match between Ban vs IRE, something happened which scared the players and all fans as well. An earthquake briefly halted play during the Test match on Friday, November 21. According to media reports, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake was felt in parts of India and Bangladesh, forcing the game to be temporarily halted.

Players, umpires and support staff stopped play for safety when tremors were felt around the stadium. However, it was fortunate that the earthquake was not very big and ended after a few minutes, and no one was harmed during this time. However, initially, there was a worrying situation for the players as they were unable to react to anything suddenly. When they realised that these were earthquake tremors, they themselves stopped the game for some time.

Bangladesh’s excellent performance in BAN vs IRE Test match

In the second Test match being played between Bangladesh and Ireland, the host repeated the same performance as in the first match and scored 476 runs in the first innings, playing a brilliant game.

Bangladesh’s openers started the innings for the team, putting on a 50-run partnership before Shadman Islam was dismissed. However, after a few minor innings, Bangladesh saw strong performances from Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das in the middle order, both of whom managed to hit centuries. Andy McBrine was the bowling hero for Ireland, taking six wickets in the first innings.

Ireland needs a strong performance to get back into the game

After Bangladesh’s strong performance, Ireland didn’t see much batting in the second innings. The team needed a strong partnership in this match, but none of the batsmen were able to demonstrate this understanding.

In the middle order, only Lorcan Tucker managed a half-century. Apart from him, Jordan Neill and Stephen Donegal might have played well, but both fell short of a half-century. At the time of writing, Ireland had scored 250 runs and lost their eighth wicket.
