Super Cup 2025 – Group D

Mumbai City FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Sporting Club Delhi and Rajasthan United FC are the two teams placed in Group D of the Super Cup India 2025.

In the opening match of this group, Mumbai City FC beat Sporting Club Delhi (recently renamed from Hyderabad FC). The match ended 4-1 in favour of Islanders. Kerala Blasters FC barely managed to scrape a victory against the 2nd-tier club Rajasthan United. It was intense match for the entirety of the 87 minute before finally Koldo Obieta Alberdi scored the much craved goal for Kerala Blasters to win the match 1-0.

The Kochi based side continued their winning form into the next match as well as they beat Sporting Club Delhi 3-0 with Alberdi leading the charge with a brace. Youngster Korou Singh also scored a goal.

However, the shock of the day was when 2nd division side Rajasthan United FC beat former ISL champions Mumbai City 1-0 in a match that was basically dominated by Mumbai but Rajasthan pounced on the few opportunities they created.

With this result, Kerala Blasters is now closed to qualifying and next round’s Kerala Blasters vs Mumbai City FC match will be a virtual knockout. A draw will be enough for Blasters while Mumbai will have to win by atleast 2 goals difference.

However, things turned-out absolutely otherwise as Mumbai City managed a narrow 1-0 win against the Blasters to secure their place into the next round of the competition, pipping Kerala Blasters in head-to-head record despite having the same points.
