A fan touched Virat Kohli's feet after he scored his 52nd ODI Hundred

Fans poured in to watch Indian cricket’s biggest start of this generation Virat Kohli at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi. There was even a moment when a fan invaded the pitch to touch Virat Kohli’s feet after he completed his 52nd ODI century.

The Indian cricket team had revenge on the back of their head in the India vs South Africa 1st ODI match after humbling 0-2 series defeat in the Test series.

The 1st ODI match was played at the home ground of former India captain MS Dhoni’s home ground at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi.

Fans had poured in big numbers to watch this after especially because both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli set to feature for Team India. Fans now have to wait long time to watch India cricket’s two heroes of this generation after their retirement from T20Is and Test cricket.

And both Rohit and Kohli displayed why they are crucial members of the Indian men’s cricket team and should be in the plane to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.

Fan Invaded Pitch to Touch Virat Kohli’s Feet

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli formed a partnership of 136 runs for the 2nd wicket before Rohit was dismissed for 57 runs. But Virat Kohli continued to impress the fans and eventually went on to complete his 52nd ODI century. He was eventually dismissed after scoring 135 runs.

Meanwhile, one of the biggest moment of the match was when among thousands of fans in attendance for the game, one fan got into the ground and touched Virat Kohli’s feet after he reached his milestone. You watch the video below.

Virat Kohli 52nd ODI Hundred Help India to Post 349 Runs

South Africa team won the toss and asked the Indian team to bat first. The Men in Blue got off to a quick start thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 18 runs off 16 balls. But he was dismissed in the 4th over, bringing Virat Kohli onto the pitch.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the two veterans of the show, took forward the proceedings. They played some beautiful shots and scored at a good run rate. Rohit Sharma was finally dismissed after scoring 57 runs.

But Virat Kohli kept on going and went on to complete his 52nd ODI Hundred and his 3rd century at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi.

Outside of them, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja also played some brilliant shots as the former scored 60 while Jaddu scored 32 runs to eventually help Team India post 349 runs on the board in the India vs South Africa 1st ODI in Ranchi.
