Who are Hombale Films? Know about the expected new RCB Owner

Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended their 18-year title drought by winning IPL 2025. There was a lot of excitement after becoming the new IPL champions, but the happiness of the fans did not last long.

Then, news started coming that the Royal Challenger Bengaluru is now available for sale and will have a new owner before 31 March 2025.

The current owner of the RCB, Diageo India, also officially confirmed this. Since then, there has been great excitement among IPL fans to know the name of the RCB’s new owner.

Currently, according to reports, in this major transaction, Hombale Films is expected to become the co-owner of RCB. Although they haven’t officially announced anything, reports say the production house is in talks with RCB’s current owner, Diageo India.

If the deal goes through, it will be seen as a major milestone for the Indian film industry and the Indian Premier League as well. While cricket fans may not know much about Humbale Production House, it is the same house that has given Indian cinema some of the best films in the last few years.

The franchise is expected to gain immense popularity among its local fans if the deal succeeds. The bonding between the state’s cricketing culture and a major hub of the Kannada film industry will likely massively boost both sides’ popularity ahead of IPL 2026.

Let’s have a look at the new expected co-owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore before IPL 2026.

Hombale Productions was founded by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda in 2012. The company has primarily produced blockbuster films in Kannada cinema. Hombale Films has produced superhit films like KGF, Kantara, and Salaar.

Their films have achieved record-breaking box office collections across the country and have set new benchmarks in Indian cinema.

Yash’s film KGF, made under the banner of this production house, achieved national success, and Kantara won the hearts of every cinema lover with its unique story and cultural roots. Following the incredible success of Salaar, fans are eagerly awaiting the second part of the film. In addition, several other projects are in the works that fans are sure to enjoy.

Let us tell you that Hombale Films’ association with IPL franchise RCB did not happen suddenly. The production house has also been the official digital partner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) since 2023, providing them with first-hand information about the franchise.

Now, if they become the new owners of RCB in 2026, it will be a mix of cricket and entertainment. This will give both the franchise and the production house new marketing strategies, which will definitely benefit them.

However, with the arrival of the new owner, there are chances that the name of the franchise may also change, for which die-hard RCB fans will not be ready at all.
