Last week’s WWE NXT vs TNA match did not affect much for either brand, but Trick Williams is no longer the TNA champion after losing the championship to Mike Santana at Bound for Glory.
Tuesday’s program was intended to move on from the TNA invasion, but the two companies’ collaboration will continue. For now, NXT is gearing up for Halloween Havoc on October 25.

- Zaria vs. Blake Monroe
- Lexis King vs. Dr. Wagner Jr.
Matt Cardona vs Josh Briggs
It had been more than five years since Matt Cardona had last wrestled in a WWE ring, and he met Briggs, who was eager to leave him there in TNA with a couple of new bruises.
Cardona immediately attacked with punches and kicks and sent Briggs to the corner, but the big man soon countered, and after a few hard punches, he had the former Ryder quite disoriented.
The power for Briggs was shown during the commercial break and a near-fall was gotten by them when the show resumed. When Cardona got the upper hand again, he tried the Unprettier which resulted in a close two-count.
Briggs is able to move quite well for a big man and Cardona is a versatile performer, so they made everything they did look good. This match used a fairly standard formula, but the second half really got going.
After Briggs had endured some of Cardona’s hardest punches, he hit him with a massive running boot to score the victory.
Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Lexis King
El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide really got the crowd going in NXT with an exciting victory over Lexis King.
After the fight, Ethan Page, who holds the NXT North American Champion title, showed up. Wagner Jr. didn’t waste any time and challenged him to a Day of the Dead Match at Halloween Havoc.
Zaria vs. Blake Monroe
Zaria informed Ruca that she intended to take on Monroe by herself during a backstage session. There was a little tension amongst the tag team partners, which the commentators made sure to emphasize.
During the first five minutes, Zaria consistently outmatched Monroe. The Glamour ultimately discovered a method to counteract her power and gain control, so she began focusing on Zaria’s leg to soften her up.
Zaria was her normal domineering self, utilizing her great strength to keep the deadly Monroe off her game.
The Glamour introduced a steel chair and was about to use it when Ruca ripped it out of her. In the midst of the chaos, Monroe jabbed Zaria with a hairpin before hitting Beauty Shot for the win.
Hank and Tank vs. The Culling vs. Chase U
For the next match, there was a triple threat tag team battle with the three teams that had all lost their last matches on television. A win was what everyone was looking for and thus, momentum to pick up.
In this competition, Hank and Tank, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance, and Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors were the teams. At all times, one member from each team was the legal representative, so several near-falls were quickly interrupted in the first few minutes.
The match ended very suddenly, with Bronco Nima and Lucien Price attacking everyone. It seemed that the crowd was pleased to see them, but it was a feeble ending to a match that was just getting started.
Women’s Battle Royal
Tatum Paxley is going to NXT Halloween Havoc! She won a Battle Royal to get a shot at the NXT Women’s Title.

The match had 20 wrestlers from NXT and TNA. Wrestlers were eliminated as they were thrown over the top rope.
In the end, it was Paxley, Jordynne Grace, and Izzi Dame. Dame tried a clothesline, but it backfired, sending both her and Grace out. This gave Paxley what is possibly the largest win of her career.
