Sean Legacy vs. Jackson Drake

The match started with Legacy and Jackson Drake locking up, and things quickly moved outside. Legacy slammed Drake’s face into the apron to gain an early lead. But, while Smokes and Baylor caused a distraction, Drake took the chance to attack Legacy from behind. Still, Legacy managed to get back in control before the break.

When we came back from the ads, Drake surprised Legacy with a head kick and some moves in the corner. Legacy responded with a German suplex, a dropkick from the top rope, and a Falcon Arrow, almost winning. Drake then came back with a double knee strike, but Legacy performed a huge suplex from the top rope, nearly winning again. As Legacy tried for a Death Valley Driver, Drake got away and countered, finally hitting The Unaliving to win the match.

Zaria vs. Fallon Henley

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ women’s Speed Championship without a title was looking for a new owner and it happened on Tuesday, after Zaria and Henley met in the finals, a tournament that has been ongoing for a few weeks.

Zaria was the one who obviously had the power advantage, but Henley tried to use her speed and experience to keep her at a distance. The first half of this five-minute match was a rally and each player had their chances, but after Zaria had secured a Texas cloverleaf, the only way Henley was fighting was upwards.

Both of them went full throttle and to their last five minutes they still had a lot of match left which they could have easily been too rushed as is often the case in these Speed bouts. It was down to the final minute and it looked like the powerhouse was out of steam. Henley landed a DDT but was unable to get the pin. The timer ran out just as Zaria was setting up a move on her shoulders. Ava came out and said that they needed a winner, so she announced the continuation of the match.

It was kind of orchestrated how they kept this going, but at least we didn’t have to wait another week for a new champion. The rest of Fatal Influence members helped Henley to have an unfair advantage and she was the one who got the victory to make the title hers.

Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Lei Ying Lee

Okay, so Jordan hangs back at the start, letting Lee and Grace go at it. Lee gets in a double blockbuster, but Jordan slams her off the top rope. Then Grace starts hitting Jordan with strikes, double knees, and a Vader Bomb, but Jordan just won’t stay down. Jordan gets back in charge with some heavy elbows, a facebuster, and a knee strike, before doing a springboard moonsault onto both of them outside the ring.

After the break, Jordan lands a Frog Splash on Grace, but Lee stops the pin. Things get wild when Grace does a German suplex, Jordan drops Lee off her shoulders, and then does a top-rope moonsault on Grace. Lee answers with an Ankle Lock, but Jordan gets out of it.

Grace nails a bunch of powerbombs on both Lee and Jordan, but someone always breaks the pin. Jordan tries for a 450 Splash, but Lee moves, and everything descends into madness again. Jordan tries to steal a pin, Grace gives her a sit-out powerbomb. But before Grace can do anything else, Lee kicks her in the head, sending her out of the ring, and pins Jordan for the win.

Kendal Grey vs. Lainey Reid

The bell rings and Grey puts down right hands on Reid.  Reid unleashes stomps on Grey in neighbouring corners, but Grey rushes Reid in the corner.  Reid gets out of the path.

Reid returns from the break and slams Grey into the mat face first with a uranage.  The two ladies wobble on the ropes, but Grey shoots back elbows at Reid before delivering a moonsault off the middle rope.  Grey hits Reid with a pair of back elbows, but Reid counters with a spinning sit-out powerbomb and attempts for a pin.  Grey kicks out and delivers a scoop powerslam on Reid.  She reaches for a pin, but Reid kicks out.

Grey applies a Fujiwara Armbar to Reid, but Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley rush down to the ring and jump up on the apron to create a distraction.  Sinclair lands a forearm on Henley, and Grey throws Jayne out of the ring before the referee ejects Henley, Jayne, Sinclair, and Charlie Dempsey (who has now emerged) from ringside.  Grey executes a German suplex to Reid off the middle rope, followed by a flatliner for the win.

Myles Borne vs. Trick Williams

This‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ week the main event was the last match before the Iron Survivor qualifier with Borne and Williams battling it out for the final spot.

Immediately after the bell, Williams struck Borne with a clothesline and took control of the match. The ex-NQCC member tried to rally, but Williams kept him at bay.

Borne is a rather big man, so it really emphasized how monstrously Williams was when I saw the latter towering over the former. He is built very proportionally, so until you see him next to someone else his size can be quite misleading.

Most of the time, the former NXT and TNA champion was executing a dominant performance, however, Borne kept resurfacing throughout the match.

Borne started to gain some momentum when he impaled Trick’s knee on the steel steps. He fired off two of his finishers back to back to make the pin and move up to Deadline for the Iron Survivor match. This finish was a little surprising in that it was so clean, but it is never a bad thing.
