US Title Open Challenge: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs Axiom

Ilja Dragunov decided to face Axiom in his United States title open challenge. The two SmackDown superstars put on a fantastic match which kept the fans hooked all the way through the fight, and they responded with a ‘This is Awesome’ chant.

Axiom, however, could not manage to scrape the win over Dragunov, thus the latter kept his belt after finishing the challenger with a powerful ā€‹ā€ā€‹ā€Œā€ā€‹ā€ā€Œā€‹ā€ā€‹ā€Œā€ā€‹ā€ā€ŒH-Bomb.

La Knight vs Zack Ryder – Last Time is Now Tournament (First Round Match)

In the tournament’s first-round challenge, LA Knight walked to face the mystery opponent, who turned out to be Zack Ryder, alias Matt Cardona, who returned to the main roster following his NXT comeback as part of a working partnership with TNA.

Ā Knight and Ryder fought for control of the match, with Ryder even landing the Rough Ryder, but Knight was able to kick out.Ā  In the last moments of the match, Knight caught Ryder mid-air and delivered a powerbomb, followed by the BFT to pin him and progress in the tournament.

Winner: LA Knight

Jade Cargill vs B-Fab

B-Fab competed against WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill in a one-on-one battle.  Ultimately, it was more of a squash battle, as the Storm bulldozed her rival and knocked her off with a Jaded to take the win.

Winner: Jade Cargill

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Bronson Reed

At the show’s main event, Cody Rhodes had to defend his title against Bronson Reed. Reed came on strong at first, but Cody turned things around and got Reed out of the ring. Things went bad fast after Breakker and Logan Paul jumped on Cody near the announce table, which ended the match with no clear winner.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) ran in to help Cody, and a big fight broke out. The Usos took down Breakker and Logan with superkicks. Then, they hit Logan with their 1D move, sending him down hard as Big Jim brought out a table so Jey could prop Logan on it.

As The Usos climbed to the top rope, Drew McIntyre showed up and pushed Big Jim off. Nick Aldis ran in, angry at Heyman, who argued that he could pick whoever he wanted for the WarGames match. While McIntyre and Jey fought, Breakker speared Jey through the table.

Logan punched out Big Jim, and then Cody jumped back in, fighting Logan and Drew. McIntyre finished Cody off with his Claymore move. After that, McIntyre set Cody up for Reed’s Tsunami, and Heyman gave McIntyre the WarGames contract, which made him the fourth guy on The Vision team for the WarGames match.
