SportsClaus

Editorial Policy

SportsClaus covers cricket, football and kabaddi for readers who want accurate information explained clearly. This policy sets out the standards we apply to new reporting and updates.

Last updated: 12 October 2026.

Sources and fact-checking

We prioritise official competition announcements, governing bodies, team statements and match records for results, schedules and squad information. We use established reporting for additional context and check material claims against the underlying evidence where possible.

A social media post is not automatically a verified fact. We check who published it, when it appeared and whether it supports the claim being made. Reports, rumours and confirmed announcements should be clearly distinguished.

Original writing and useful context

Our articles should answer a real reader question. We use original wording and add relevant explanation, comparisons or organised information rather than copying another publisher’s work.

Statistics need context, including the competition, period and format covered. Tables and headlines should make those boundaries clear. We do not invent quotes, interviews, sources or first-hand experience.

Research tools and editorial responsibility

AI and other tools may assist with research, organisation, drafting and language. Their output is not evidence. Names, dates, figures and quotations still require verification.

Our standard is for the responsible editor to review an article before publication. SportsClaus remains responsible for the final copy, including work prepared with AI assistance. We do not present tool-generated material as an interview or personal observation.

News, analysis and predictions

Confirmed facts should be separated from interpretation. Opinions and predictions represent a view based on the information available at the time; they are not guaranteed outcomes.

When we publish a prediction, it should explain its reasoning and limitations. SportsClaus does not promise betting returns or certainty about a match result.

Updates and corrections

Schedules, squads and other details can change. We update relevant articles when new information is verified. A material correction should explain what changed; an updated date should reflect an actual change to the page.

To report an error, use our contact form or email sportsclaus20@gmail.com. Include the article link, the disputed detail and supporting evidence. We review requests and correct verified errors.

Independence and disclosures

Advertising, sponsorship and commercial relationships must be identified clearly where they apply. Payment does not make a claim true or remove the need to check it. Contributors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

Images and reader contributions

Images and other media should be relevant and used with appropriate rights. An illustration should not be presented as documentary evidence of an event. Reader suggestions and feedback are welcome, but publication remains an editorial decision.
